Five Things You'll Understand if You're a Cartoon and Comic Arts Student

1 - "Cardio and What?"

Get used to having to repeat yourself a good number of times if anyone asks what you’re studying. Also, prepare your 'give up’ answer if it reaches five attempts. “*sigh* basically art” works just fine.

2 - Can You Draw Me?

You're on an art course. Expect this question every time you tell someone that fact. Acceptable answers include; “sure, if you pay me.”

3 - The Stairs
The CaCA stairs are like a right of passage to the course - name five of the characters in the wall to be allowed entry. Only joking! They’re just a bit of colour to brighten up those early morning lectures!

4 - The Strange Lecture Titles
To us, it's normal. But tell anyone out of the know that today you learnt how to make a satirical cartoon without insulting any politicians, or learnt the history of modern anime, and you get quite an odd look.

5 - The Family
With how small and niche the course is, you can't step foot into the studio without being adopted into the CaCA family. Need support? We gotcha! Need memes? We definitely gotcha! Students and lecturers on this course are all so easy to get on with - mainly cuz we’re all a bit weird, and finding someone who understands your weirdness is the best thing ever!
